DUCTZ History

DUCTZ was originally founded in 2002 by John Rotche in Ann Arbor, Mich. Rotche's unique vision and background in franchising led to a partnership with Service Brands International. Shortly thereafter, DUCTZ started franchising in 2004, quickly becoming a recognizable industry leader. In 2006, Rotche merged with Tom Yacobellis' and Woody Sayles' duct cleaning organization DUCTBUSTERS®. The strategic merger of DUCTZ with DUCTBUSTERS® created the largest and most technically advanced organization within the industry.

As a result of the expertise in managing large scale commercial HVAC restoration projects, DUCTZ was acquired by BELFOR USA in 2007; BELFOR is the world's largest property restoration company and is the premier provider of property recovery services in North America. BELFOR has 80 offices coast to coast and more than 1,600 full-time, experienced restoration specialists. Internationally, BELFOR has more than 3,400 employees, 180 offices worldwide and is located in more than 27 countries. BELFOR responds immediately anywhere in the world with experienced manpower and specialized equipment to quickly stabilize a scene after a fire, water or wind damage disaster. DUCTZ, now a subsidiary of BELFOR, is securely positioned within the disaster recovery and restoration industry to provide immediate response and support for indoor air quality improvements and restoration of HVAC systems across America.

DUCTZ national headquarters is located in Ann Arbor, Mich., which is the site of our innovative 18,000-square-foot national training center. The DUCTZ training center is an industry-leading training facility with a life-size model home, training stations and work areas allowing DUCTZ professionals the hands-on experience with demonstration models.

DUCTZ professionals are leading advocates for IAQ and strictly adhere to industry standards during HVAC system reconditioning and restoration projects. Our certified, qualified and trained professionals use proprietary techniques to provide superior service and maintenance of HVAC systems, improving the efficiency of the HVAC system and IAQ.

Charitable Foundations

DUCTZ professionals believe strongly in giving back to the areas we serve. As a way to provide charitable support to our communities, DUCTZ initiated "Buster's Charitable Foundation" . The symbolic "Buster" originated from the DUCTBUSTERS® culture and has since developed into an icon for DUCTZ, representing the support we provide as an organization to charitable foundations. Through our "Buster's Charitable Foundation", a portion of our income is earmarked for national and local charities.
